S-500 Support Page and FAQ
Q. How does “Control Hi/Low” differ from “Alarm Hi/Lo”?
A. Control Hi/Low permits an internal circuit to close based on a high or low ozone level present. Alarm Hi/Low is for triggering the audible alarm on the unit as well as external alarms (Pins 4 & 5). Sometimes, people will want an audible alarm with an external signal sent out before any action is taken with the control set point (Pin 3).
Q. Does the S-500 show ozone levels on a computer screen in real time?
A. Yes. Ozone levels will plot to the computer in real time. This data is also available for viewing with included software and an CSV file for download.
Q. How well do the ozone sensors work with caprolactam vapors?
A. The sensors are unlikely to read ozone in the presence of caprolactam vapor. This is because there may be cross interference with the caprolactam, and the presence of caprolactam is likely to drive the reading down faster than ozone will drive the reading upwards. Therefore it is necessary to position the sensor so that ozone is read but caprolactam is not present.
